A very special message to all of my friends, family and fans…
Actually...I have two HUGE announcements for you all!
Please allow me to thank each and every one of you for your love and support over the years. You have no idea how much ya’ll mean to me
First…Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 7:00pm in Rentiesville, Oklahoma, Curly “No Shoes” Jr. (that’s me!!) was officially inducted into the Oklahoma Blues Hall of Fame!!
I grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma and it is quite an honor for me and it makes my Mom and Dad, my Sister Angela Denny, my Wife and children proud (God knows I have embarrassed them enough during my life). My Mom and Dad have always been my biggest supporters and my greatest inspiration of the kind of people I want to be if I ever grow up!
So...I just wanted to shout out my thanks and gratitude to all of you guys and gals who so patiently tolerated me and helped me along back in the day.
Secondly…My family and I have relocated to ChicagoLand and we are lovin’ it!!
I will still be touring and expect to make a couple of runs every year through Colorado, Oklahoma and Texas (the three states where most of you live) with Miss Blues and other Bands so I do hope to see most of you soon!
Thank you all sooo much for all of your love, support, phone calls and emails! It’s always good to know who your real friends are!
Special thanks to my beautiful wife, Janet for her Love and Patience and to Carmen Allgood – creator and CEO of the “Colorado Wave” Network of radio stations for her undying support and encouragement. Carmen has been playing my music on the radio all across the USA for years! Let’s all give her the “LOVE WAVE”!!!
Another special thanks to the ladies of the Oklahoma Blues Society who supported me and believed in me from the first time we met! Especially Annaliese Church and Peggy Steinke. Thank You!! You guys are gonna be seeing a lot more of me!

I cannot go without thanking my closest friend, ally, critic, promoter and mentor…Mr. Carlos Guerra! Give it up for Carlos ya’ll…somebody say “YEAH”!!
Thanks also to all of the Club Owners, Promoters and Booking Managers who have allowed me the joy of playing in their venues and festivals, in particular DAVID MC*INTYRE and Oscar Blues in Lyons, CO. who has helped me in ways he will probably never know!
Last…but certainly not least…I want to thank ALL of the gifted musicians who have allowed me to sit in, invited me to appear at festivals and who have shared the stage with me in The Curly “No Shoes” Jr. Band! Most of you were real Troopers and Team Players…a very few of you were…well, let’s just say “challenged” (you know who you are! ;) ). ALL of you are highly talented players and ALL of you helped me get here.
I could go on and on but there are just too many of you who have helped me along the along the way, picked me up when I have fallen, loved me no matter what…thank you!
